Current Belgian legislation provides for 15 days of paternity leave. You can take these in one go or in several stages within 4 months of the birth.  <\/p>\n<p>The first 3 days of your paternity leave are entirely the employer&#8217;s responsibility: you keep your full salary. For the remaining 12 days, the mutual insurance company pays an allowance that amounts to 82% of the capped gross salary. To report the accident to the insurance company, provide IMPACT as soon as possible with a medical certificate and complete an &#8220;accident report.
