Truck Mechanic in Bilzen

The job

Maintenance Trucks all brands. Oil change - engine maintenance - transmission. Prepare for inspectionGeneral:

  • Following the prescribed work sequence
  • Fill in the form for inspection correctly
  • Repairing defective tools / machines

Trailer service:

  • Inspection and repair of sails
  • Checking and repair of lighting
  • Checking the chassis
  • Control of the axles
  • Checking the chassis

Braking station:

  • Correctly interpret brake device test printout
  • Diagnosis of the braking system
  • Adjustment and replacement of brake parts
  • Checking the chassis
  • Control of the axles
  • Checking the chassis
  • Check air pressure system

Tail lifts:

  • Maintenance: electrical + lubrication
  • Knowledge of parts for breakdown repair
  • Smooth and correct communication with drivers
  • Placing tail lifts.

Order and cleanliness:

  • Removal of parts, oil and tools
  • Proper return of tools
  • Proper delivery of finished trucks
  • Keeping the work environment and dining area clean

Offer

  • Fully legal employment according to Belgian law among which social security, health insurance, building up the right for a Belgian pension
  • Salary from 19€, depending on experience
  • Furnished accommodation - single rooms, unlimited internet, water, gas and electricity included - payable 110€/week
  • End of year bonus - 8,33% of gross yearly salary
  • Holiday bonus - 15,38% of gross yearly salary

  • Transportation provided (depending on distance from accommodation)

Your profile

  • Few years' experience as a truck mechanic
  • Able to perform electric repairs
  • Communicative English
  • Driving license B (C is a very big plus)
  • Motivation to work and being able to engage in a long term employment
  • Flexibility
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
